Air Canada and Air China are expanding codeshares and
reciprocal lounge access as they finalize a planned joint venture. Pending
regulatory approval, Air China in April will place its code on Air Canada's service
between Montreal and Shanghai, as well as flights from Vancouver to each
Kelowna and Victoria in British Columbia and to Regina and Saskatoon in Saskatchewan.
Air Canada in turn will place its code on Air China's service between Montreal
and Havana and service between Beijing and each Nanjing, Shenzhen, Xiamen and
Zhengzhou. The expanded lounge agreement gives first and business travelers on
Air China access to Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounges in Montreal and Vancouver.
