American Airlines is opening a store on Alibaba Group's
travel service platform Fliggy that will act as a direct sales channel for the
airline's services and products. The partnership also will allow Fliggy loyalty
program members access to some of the elite benefits of the American Airlines AAdvantage
program. Fliggy, which reports 549 million mobile active monthly users across
China, announced a
distribution deal with Qantas last year.
