Meetings
CWT Meetings & Events appointed Carlson Wagonlit Travel veteran Floyd Widener to a new position as the organization's global senior vice president,
effective June 1, 2012. He will be responsible for "strategic and operational leadership for the meetings and events business across all regions," and will report to Cathy Voss, executive vice president of Carlson Wagonlit Travel Global Program Solutions and Meetings & Events. Widener since 2006 has served as CWT senior vice president of sales and global program management for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, following stints at Sabre Travel Network and Amadeus France. His existing CWT EMEA duties will be split. "Given the breadth and depth of the EMEA structure, growth in the region and the importance of both sales and client relationships, CWT has created two separate roles, one for sales and one for program management for the EMEA region," according to a CWT official. "David McNeill has been appointed vice president of GGPS sales and Brigitte Nisio as vice president GPS program management," both reporting to Voss.
