to New York
JFK with American Airlines and to Salt Lake City International Airport with
Delta Air Lines. TSA also noted that United Airlines and US Airways soon would
participate in the pilot program. "US Airways and United recently began
notifying their eligible frequent fliers," according to a TSA blog post on
Thursday, "and TSA will announce more details on start dates and locations
at new airports as soon as we have them." Since launching the program last
fall at airports in Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit and Miami, TSA has expanded the
PreCheck program, which aims to
expedite security screening for vetted travelers, to Las Vegas McCarran International Airport and Minneapolis-Saint
Paul International Airport. "We've received positive feedback from the
overwhelming majority of the nearly 200,000 passengers who have been screened
through TSA PreCheck since the pilot rolled out," according to TSA's blog
post.
