Lufthansa Resumes Normal Operations After Strike
Lufthansa will return to “almost normal” operations Saturday, following a seven-day strike by the Independent Flight Attendant’s Organization that resulted in about 4,700 canceled flights, according to the carrier. All scheduled long-haul flights will be operational Saturday, and some long-haul flights scheduled for late Friday evening will be delayed to Saturday morning rather than being canceled. Most short- and medium-haul flights also will be back in service on Saturday, although some cancellations might occur where aircraft and crews are not yet at the site of the operation, according to Lufthansa.
