nearing $70 per barrel (on the New York Mercantile Exchange) again prompted international airlines to hike surchargeson passenger tickets. "With few exceptions," American Airlines yesterday raised transoceanic surcharges by $20 roundtrip. Air Canadaand KLM also took similar action this week.
