American Express and SAS Scandinavian Airlines this month announced the launch of a co-branded corporate card offering for clients in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
As of Sept. 14, companies in the three countries have the option of issuing the SAS American Express Corporate Card to their travelers. The cards will give companies SAS credits toward additional flights with purchases and will allow Scandinavian companies better visibility of their travel and entertainment spending and streamline their expense management process, according to American Express. Travelers also will be eligible to earn points from SAS' frequent flyer program, EuroBonus.
"This is a major partnership for American Express in this region," said Peter Clason, vice president and country manager of American Express Nordics. "We will offer truly competitive cards that are designed to give real additional value back to customers, both in terms of rewards as well as premium insurance benefits."
The partnership also allows current American Express cardholders to use their own membership reward points on SAS flights.
