Business travel booking and support platform
TripActions—which employs a pair of in vogue elements: price-to-beat incentives
and chatbots—has
raised $51 million in Series B financing, bringing total funding for the
platform to almost $80 million. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the latest
round, joined by Zeev Ventures. "In order to deliver outstanding service
to our travelers and customers, we need to build custom technology to reinvent
infrastructure that hasn’t been updated in decades," said co-founder and
CEO Ariel Cohen. The company has targeted
small and midsize enterprises and, according
to VP of supplier relations and alliances Bob Brindley, will scale as its
customers do. The company said the latest funds will allow it not only to scale
but also to build out its technology and invest in operations globally.
