Pegasus Signs HP Unit To Manage Hotel, Distribution Tech
Hotel distribution provider Pegasus Solutions today announced a seven-year services agreement with HP Enterprise Services for management of its technology infrastructure.
Under the terms of agreement, HP Enterprise Services—Electronic Data Services following its acquisition by Hewlett-Packard—will provide data center services for Pegasus and its hotel and travel distribution clientele. With the agreement, Pegasus can improve customer service and have access to new markets, according to the company.
"With our shared expertise in the travel industry, a relationship between Pegasus and HP was a natural move," Pegasus CEO Mike Kistner said in a statement. "The integration of Pegasus' RezViewNG into HP's Travel Service-Oriented Architecture platform will result in innovative solutions that will help our clients better understand and track their customers' preferences, identify new sources of revenue and increase operational efficiencies."
HP also will offer software management and site support services for computers and mobile devices in Pegasus' 17 offices across 11 countries. In addition, HP is providing disaster recovery services for Pegasus' data center.
