Passkey Shuts Down Event411

Online group housing provider Passkey today said that effective immediately it would permanently shut down Event411, the online attendee management company whose assets it took possession of in a foreclosure proceeding in July.

The move definitively answers lingering speculation as to Passkey's intentions regarding Event411's assets and technology. However, Passkey "will continue to explore the possibility of expanding our footprint in the industry," said president and CEO Greg Pesik. "Event411's technology, as well as other available service providers, was carefully considered as an integral piece of this product offering. After thorough due diligence, however, it was determined that maintaining and servicing the technology as it currently exists was not a financially viable option, and as such, no action was taken."
