This Iraqi-owned hotel catering to medium-level Arab businesspeople is on the main street of the upscale Karada neighborhood. It's in the center of a peninsula created by the Tigris River south of the famous Green Zone, and many fashionable shops and restaurants are nearby. The markets and mosques of old Baghdad are a few kilometers northeast. At night the Bloom's glass facade aglow with blue lighting is hard to miss.
