JPMorgan Unveils Premium Cards With Airport Lounge Access
JPMorgan today announced that it now is offering gold and platinum tiers for its travel and entertainment corporate card product that will give traveling executives access to airport lounges, luggage delivery service and a variety of insurance offerings.
Both the gold and platinum MasterCard and Visa cards JPMorgan issues offer users unrestricted access to more than 500 VIP airport lounges in more than 275 cities worldwide, the company said. Lounge access privileges cover all major carriers, and travelers can use even the lounges of airlines they are not flying, said Rich Erario, JPMorgan's senior vice president and business executive for commercial card and electronic procurement, invoicing and payables.
The platinum card also gives users access to a luggage delivery service, a feature not available in any other corporate card program, Erario said. Travelers can have up to eight pieces of luggage, including such equipment as golf clubs or skis, delivered to an address within 40 miles of an airport upon arrival. The luggage service, offered through an agreement with Priority Solutions International, also is available to gold card users, although it comes at an addition cost.
Other benefits for gold and platinum card members include concierge services, travel accident and lost luggage insurance coverage and emergency medical and dental coverage.
"This allows us to go head-to-head with all of our competitors, particularly American Express," Erario said. "This is about taking customer service to an extremely high level, in particular for those busy executives."
Gold and platinum card status is immediately available to JPMorgan corporate card users. Companies can choose the number of users in their programs and whether the company or individual users will pay the program's membership fee, company officials said.
