Concur and Starwood Hotels & Resorts plan to announce on Wednesday an agreement for Starwood to provide electronic folio data directly to Concur's expense reporting tool.
Starwood now will provide electronic receipt data—breaking out room charges, taxes, food and beverage charges including room service, business services and parking charges—into Concur clients' expense reports, eliminating the need for paper receipts, according to the company. The agreement includes full participation of all Starwood brands in the United States, which include St. Regis, the Luxury Collection, Sheraton, Westin, Four Points by Sheraton, W, Le Meridien, Aloft and Element.
Concur already can import electronic folio data from hotel companies including Accor, Choice Hotels International and Hilton Hotels Corp., according to Christopher Juneau, Concur's senior director of segment marketing. Additionally, Starwood first began providing e-folio data through American Express in 2007
(BTNonline, Sept. 24, 2007).
Concur also announced today that it plans to unveil an IPhone-compatible version of its mobile product at the National Business Travel Association annual convention next week in San Diego. Concur's mobile tool already can be used on BlackBerry and Windows Mobile devices.
"We'll be able to cut across all mobile platforms," Juneau said. "The return on investment there is that travelers on the go can make ticket changes, getting online to the self-booking tool and change their trip automatically."
