Southwest Airlines in August will discontinue services operated by its AirTran subsidiary in several cities,
including Allentown and
Harrisburg, Pa.; Lexington, Ky.; Sarasota, Fla.; Huntsville, Ala.; and White
Plains, N.Y. Meanwhile, Southwest plans to "convert AirTran Airways
operations at 22 domestic and international airports to Southwest operations
over time," beginning on Aug. 12 at Seattle-Tacoma International.
