Spirit Airlines said it has signed an agreement with its pilots, effectively ending a strike that halted operations all week with plans to resume operations on Friday.
"We apologize to those of our customers whose travel was disrupted as a result of the strike and look forward to earning back their trust with ultra-low fares, great service and the best pilots in the sky," Spirit president and CEO Ben Baldanza said in a statement.
The pilot strike began this past weekend and persisted throughout the week, though corporate travelers
largely were spared given the carrier's leisure-focused route structure and low frills.
