Spanair on Friday suspended operations following failed acquisition talks with Qatar Airways, according to news reports citing government officials from Spain's Catalonia region. Meanwhile, Iberia, Spain's largest airline, indicated it "will implement a contingency plan to help carry affected passengers in collaboration with Catalonian and national authorities."
