Total worldwide travel agency sales dollar volume in
September grew more than 16.5 percent from September 2009 levels, ARC reported
Thursday. Transactions, meanwhile, rose more than 7.5 percent.
Those growth rates are slightly slower than those posted in
August, which saw year-over-year sales and transaction increases of 21 percent
and 10 percent, respectively.
ARC sales last month totaled nearly $6.6 billion, marking
the ninth consecutive month of year-over-year growth in 2010.
