GetThere is offering benchmarking services that compare client travel programs to "best-in-class metrics,"
according to the company. Customizable reports are based on "real-time travel data" aggregated across "hundreds of corporations," large and midsize travel management companies and "all" global distribution systems. Users via an "interactive dashboard" can view reports by geography, industry segment and company size for metrics on air, car and hotel purchasing and policy compliance, according to GetThere. General manager Suzanne Neufang at a users group conference in Chicago last month said GetThere's highest level of benchmarking would include consulting to help a client "define a peer group, analyze 'big data' of that group and determine where a company ranked within the group from overall travel-policy or traveler-behavior perspectives." She said the intent is to "look at things we do in the employee desktop that no one else does" and "identify what you need to change in your policy or training." The company indicated that "future phases" would include reports on mobile trends and "behavioral indices."
