Partnership Travel Consulting has named Philip Dunphy as its senior vice president.

"I am very excited to have someone of Phil's caliber join the PTC management team," said Andrew Menkes, the travel management consulting firm's founder and CEO. "Phil and I have had the opportunity to collaborate in the past, when I was with BTI and Phil was the first travel manager at Pfizer, where we partnered in their first U.S. travel consolidation."

Business Travel News has recognized Dunphy, the former Pfizer senior director of global travel and meetings, more than once during his 30-year career for his innovative travel management efforts, including implementing a global commercial card program and leading an airline procurement initiative as well as for advancing the consolidation of meetings expenditures.

Dunphy began his career in airport and reservations operations for Eastern Airlines.  He also worked for System One before becoming a travel manager in 1988 for Mitre Corp. He left Mitre in 1994 to create a consolidated travel program for Pfizer, where he worked for 14 years.
