Expense management system
provider ExpenseCloud teamed with a third party to white-label ExpenseCloud
Travel, a travel booking tool, confirmed general manager Eric Sikola. The tool is
targeted to small- and medium-size businesses and scheduled to go live in the coming
weeks, at which point the name of the third party will be revealed.
"We will offer full-fledged
booking, whether it's through a call center, online or through a mobile
app," Sikola said.
Once a client activates
the service, its employees would access the booking tool by logging into the
ExpenseCloud cloud-based system. The service can include company travel policies,
audit ticket prices and send alerts to users when a lower price is found.
The service will be
supported by a call center. "What you do online, you will be able to do
through the phone system too," Sikola said.
The tool initially will
be accessible online through the ExpenseCloud system. Sikola said the company
also plans to incorporate the tool into its native apps for iOS, Android and
BlackBerry platforms.
ExpenseCloud Travel will
have two pricing tiers. One will charge clients $5 per itinerary, which can
include car rental, a hotel reservation and an airline ticket. The other will
be based on a monthly fee determined by the number of users, plus a $5
transaction fee. The latter option includes more advanced reporting and audit
capabilities to help find cheaper prices. "The [return on investment] is
there," Sikola said. "If we find one ticket it kind of pays for
itself."
ExpenseCloud is part of TriNet, a provider of human resources
services.
