Rome - The Association of Corporate Travel Executives hired consultant Greeley
Koch as its next executive director, replacing Ron DiLeo. Koch's appointment is
effective Dec. 1. DiLeo will leave the association on Nov. 30 to become AirPlus
International Inc. USA president and CEO.
ACTE announced the
appointment here during its global education conference. President Suzanne
Neufang cited Koch's "general management and relationship building skills,
along with his desire for what corporate travel industry professionals need to
further their careers, build partnerships and drive business results."
Koch currently is Acquis
Consulting Group strategy development director. During a 20-year career he has
managed travel for the state of Illinois, Abbott Labs and Bank of America, and
worked for travel management company TQ3Navigant and industry supplier TRX. A
longtime ACTE volunteer, Koch previously served as the association's president and
as chairman of its Global Centre for Research and Education.
A selection committee
reviewed more than 60 applicants before selecting Koch. According to Koch's
prepared statement, "ACTE is at an inflection point in its history and the
changing demographics of the industry are going to drive change that the association
must lead."
