What is RSS?
RSS is an XML format for syndicating web content, including news feeds and headlines. The Firefox web browser has a built-in RSS reader, as does the Safari browser in Mac OSX Tiger. The next version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer is expected to include such functionality, and there also are dozens of third-party readers that allow users to subscribe to RSS feeds, just as web browsers enable the viewing of web pages.
