Travelport today announced a new executive management team for its recently merged global distribution business, joining executives from Galileo and the recently purchased Worldspan.
Helmed by Gordon Wilson as president and CEO, the Travelport GDS business is rounded out by CFO Philip Emery, formerly Galileo's CFO; chief commercial officer Kevin Mooney, formerly Worldspan CFO; and chief information officer Sue Powers, formerly Worldspan's CIO. Other appointments include senior vice president of new business incubation Keith Woodcock, previously Galileo's CIO, and chief technology officer Dave Lauderdale who had been Worldspan's CTO.
Travelport last month completed the $1.4 billion acquisition of Worldspan. Travelport CEO Jeff Clarke said less than half of its $100 million in planned cost savings from the acquisition would come from headcount reductions
