IHG Reaches Outside Hotel Industry For New CEO

InterContinental Hotels Group today named Andrew Cosslett to be CEO, effective March 2005. Cosslett will join IHG from Cadbury Schweppes. He has been president of the candy and beverage company's Europe, Middle East and Africa business since 2002. IHG chairman David Webster cited Cosslett's experience in global brand management. London-based IHG's hotel brands include InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites.
