HRG Adds D.C.-Based ETA To TMC Fold

February 15, 2007 - 12:00 AM ET

Hogg Robinson Group has acquired Washington, D.C.-based travel management company Executive Travel Associates, further expanding its North American presence.

ETA's management team, led by CEO Ray Pierce, "initially will remain operating autonomously," according to a statement issued today by HRG. However, the organization will report to HRG North American regional president Tom Gleason and eventually will integrate into the division currently comprised of the former holdings of Sea Gate and Robustelli, as well as HRG's long-held Canadian travel management company operations.

HRG CEO David Radcliffe noted ETA's "culture of high client retention and exceptional service," which he said would provide great synergies. "Acquiring a further operational base in North America, particularly in one of the country's leading business centers, strengthens significantly our presence in the region and is core to our growth strategy."

Pierce, citing HRG's worldwide network, international expertise, technological capabilities and range of services, said ETA "continues to be a very successful company, but we have reached the stage where we need to broaden our horizons to service better our clients' expanding needs."
