Activating a succession plan it adopted in May 2008, the Assocation of Corporate Travel Executives has reinstalled as its president Richard Crum, president of AirPlus International, following the
June 22 resignation of Doug Weeks.
Crum, who served a two-year term through the end of 2008, will both lead the organization and oversee the election of a new president.
According to an ACTE statement, "The process begins with candidates solicited by the nominating committee, which will be convened shortly." However, a spokesman said that no timeframe yet has been established, nor has it yet been decided whether Crum will serve out Weeks' term or not.
Also through the succession plan, ACTE's board of directors reactivated Greeley Koch, director of strategic development for the Acquis Consulting Group, as head of the association's Global Centre for Research and Education, a post he had handed off to Crum at the end of last year.
Meanwhile, the organization's treasurer position remains vacant.
