BTN's annual answer book for business travel managers everywhere. Added this year: travel risk management
BCD Meetings & Events has formalized a business unit to
focus on the sports market. BCD Sports will specialize in athletics-oriented
corporate hospitality, as well as coordinating team travel for professional,
collegiate and youth sports organizations. BCD M&E global president Scot
Graf told BTN last March that the company would be developing
its business to address the sports and entertainment verticals, which were already
strong for the company. He added in a prepared statement today, "We know
there are smaller companies providing these services for clients on a case-by-case basis, but we believe BCD can provide a more consistent, scalable and cost-effective service on a regional and global level." Charlene Rabideau will
serve as SVP and general manager for BDC Sports.
