ARC today reported $7.08 billion in total travel agency sales in May, more than 25 percent higher than the total logged in May 2009.

That percentage slightly outpaced April's year-over-year results, but May's total sales fell from the $7.22 billion recorded in April 2010 and $7.56 billion logged in March 2010.

For the first five months of 2010, travel agencies have recorded more than $34 billion in total sales, more than 21.6 percent higher than the comparable period in 2009.
