The Star Alliance suspended Air India's pending membership , claiming the carrier "has not met the minimum joining conditions that were contractually agreed in December 2007," according to a statement. Bilateral agreements between Air India and individual alliance carriers are not impacted, according to Star, which has not ruled out the airline's "potential alliance membership at a future stage." An alliance spokesperson would not specify the joining conditions that the carrier failed to meet.
