FCm Travel Solutions is in the midst of converting all its
customers to a new data reporting warehouse and interfaces created by about ten
company programmers with help from external providers.
The travel management company is maintaining its
relationship with Cornerstone Information Systems, provider of the iBank
reporting solution, but only as a data collector, said chief information
officer and global technology leader John Morhous. Cornerstone collects
information from multiple global distribution systems and back offices in use
worldwide by FCm, the corporate travel arm of Australia's Flight Centre.
"We're trying to own our own data and be able to do
more with it," said Morhous in an interview on the new ClientBank system,
which the company announced Oct. 31. "For example, if we want a
consolidated report that ties in frequent flyer numbers into passenger name
records to look at why people aren't using a preferred supplier, we'd have to
in iBank find a way to get data into the actual PNR, whereas internally we can
integrate the data sources behind the scenes."
According to the company, the new interfaces offer
"dynamic reporting, industry benchmarking, client-configurable scorecards,
dashboards, map-based reporting and integrated traveler tracking," among
other features.
