Omega World Travel later this year will implement the Amadeus One desktop product , Amadeus announced. "Amadeus One is the newest technical enhancement to a line of productivity tools used by Omega," according to Omega World Travel president and CEO Gloria Bohan. "It will enable us to integrate the inventory from multiple sources while increasing our productivity and providing savings to our clients." An Amadeus statement indicated Omega would use the point of sale to, among other things, "manage GDS volume amongst different suppliers and optimize revenues." Omega's primary GDS is Sabre, but it also uses Apollo and Worldspan from Travelport. Amadeus noted that Amadeus Oneis "open for business" with "full U.S. market availability" beginning earlier this year.
