Hogg Robinson Group named Mike Holmes director of worldwide government services, effective Jan. 1. A retired lieutenant colonel in the U.K. Ministry of Defence, Holmes will be responsible for "all" of the travel management company's global government business. According to HRG chief David Radcliffe, "There are few governments on the global stage today who want anything less than prudent spending of taxpayers' monies. It is little wonder then there has been a significant growth in the number of government departments coming out to tender" for corporate travel services.
